Changing Names

Here at MD Guitars we’ve been proud to deliver the finest quality instruments featuring un-compromised craftsmanship, high quality components and the finest tone woods available since 2005. Now to further distinguish our image we are changing our name to Marcus Daniels Luthiery. You can expect to see the same fine attention to detail that has been the goal of MD Guitars as well as some new directions.

Look soon for new guitar models, wood choices and even guitar parts.

Thanks for your continuing support and to a great future!

Still Around

Had to take a short time off from working in the shop but now I’m back and working hard!

The ArtGuitar can finally come back off the shelf and get more attention.

Kevin B. of 13MAG has ordered up another guitar! This time around a 27″, 7 string Baritone Electric with 7 String Floyd Rose Original Tremolo, my signature Walnut Special body and neck package but this time as a neck through and an insanely figured Koa top and Bare Knuckle Pickups! Gonna be sick!

Check back for more updates!

MD Guitars on the Move

Spent the last two days relocating shop. Should have just one last load tomorrow and the move will be complete. Lots of organizing left to do before everything is in good working order but will be good to be in the new shop.

Custom Acoustic and Class Demo Model

Here are the newest instruments to come out of my shop.

A custom acoustic steel string.

Also a  Strat that will be permanently on display at Woodcraft of Spokane as an example for the electric guitar class that I teach.

Pictures aren’t the greatest as I could use a new camera.

New Custom Acoustic

Just uploaded pics of a new custom acoustic. It’s a OOO size. Honduran Mahogany back, sides and neck. Adirondak Spruce top. Ebony fretboard with cocobolo MD logo. Ivoroid binding and rosette with Waverly tuners that have ivoroid buttons. The pics aren’t the best as I did not have access to the good camera I normally use so I had to make due. Go to the Custom Instruments page to see the pics

13MAG At Whisky

Here are some still pictures from the 13MAG show at the Whisky A GoGo from last weekend. They had a great photographer with awesome pics but but there were some issues that I’m not going into right now. Anyway enjoy what I have and as I get new and better pics I’ll put those up.
